Our provision of a weekly market bus to Huercal Overa is going to be scrapped.
The last bus service to do this run will be next Monday 23rd May and none thereafter. I am sorry but despite my best efforts and reducing the price of the trip to just €2.50 it was only averaging 3 or 4 persons per week and the Town Hall cannot afford to continue to subsidise the service to this extent. It had been number 2 on a list of desires of the expat community in a survey undertaken some 5 years ago but as the past 5 months have shown there really is no requirement for such a service.
