RUBBISH AGAIN!!

It seems that I have to post about this topic more than any other!

We have a reasonably good and easy system for disposing of our rubbish but too many people ignore the basic rules, sometimes it is newcomers who do not know, but one would think they would ascertain what was acceptable before dumping as much as they do.

The pictures below are from near the Pool Bar and Avenida Poetas, Los Llanos. I have asked the Police tio make enquiries in an effort to identify who dumped the stuff.

All general household waste should be placed in the basuras. If the Basura is full then it should be taken to the next nearest basura. No general rubbish should be put by side of the Basura.

Large items which cannot go into the Basura eg mattresses, furniture etc are collected twice a month from the Basura by the Consorcio. This is an excellent service compared to the lack of such a facility in the UK BUT it does lead to confusion. Please follow the above rules. Garden waste etc must be taken to a recycling point the nearest being the one in Arboleas.

Palaces to Zurgena Road

Good news regarding the construction work on the Motorway. Just published by the Town Hall to our Facebook page is the below article;

We inform our neighbours that thanks to the different administrations and the company responsible for the motorway works for their collaboration in reaching an agreement.

A few days ago, a secondary lane to the Al-7106 was started so that residents can access the town of Zurgena without having to make a long detour.

The company that is executing the works estimates that to finish completing the new access safely, access to Zurgena will have to be cut off to traffic for about a week, but it has been agreed that it will be kept open every day during business hours.  7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

But this restricted opening period just for the first week so they can complete the work to install the extra access.

Todays Figures and New Update re Vaccines

We are now down to 11 active cases in Zurgena. No new cases and 3 recoveries. The below FYI

The Junta de Andalucía will analyse, starting next week, the vaccination against the coronavirus of 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐢ó𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥, 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚, which could take place for a month, together with the vaccination of members of the security bodies-

The Ministry of Education and Sports has confirmed to CSIF-A Education that the vaccination of school personnel (teachers and non teaching staff) is expected to begin next week and will last a couple of weeks.

This has been pronounced, in statements to Canal Sur Televisión (CSTV), the director of the Strategic Vaccination Plan of Andalusia, the pediatrician David Moreno Pérez, who has pointed out that at this time only 2.4% of the Andalusian population is have supplied both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

At this time, as he explained, the vaccination phase of those over 80 years of age is being developed, although it has begun with those over 90 years of age, while health professionals who were pending vaccination are also being vaccinated, also from private health, as well as pharmacists or psychologists.

Next week, according to him, it will be analysed to start the vaccination, with the 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐚 vaccine, of the professionals of the education in Infant, Primary and Secondary. It would take place for a month together with the vaccination, with the aforementioned vaccine, of the members of the State Security forces and bodies, and then it would pass to the segment of the population between 45 and 55 years old.

According to Moreno, two vaccinations will be carried out in parallel, on the one hand, that of the oldest citizens, who will receive the 𝐏𝐟𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚 vaccines, and, on the other hand, that of the teaching professionals, members of the State Security forces and bodies and, later, that of the population between 45 and 55 years old, with the Astrazeneca vaccine.

Yesterdays Update re Vaccines & Todays Figures

The below was issued by the Information page on Facebook for Almeria Province

Following the meeting of the Public Health Commission, Health has delimited four other priority groups in the vaccination strategy. For 70-year-olds, 60-to-69-and high-risk under-60 patients have reserved Pfizer and Modern vaccines. ′′ It is clear that once essential groups and vulnerable and most risk-whether by age or associated disease are vaccinated, vaccines will reach age strata ", Garcia Rojas explains.

Group 4 refers to the general population aged 45 to 55, to which the preparation of AstraZeneca will be targeted. It must be borne in mind that this formula has not been approved in Spain yet for over 55, hence to give out the doses that arrive, this group is contemplated when other older age sections have not yet been completed.
According to the Public Health Commission, chronic patients will soon be defined by the Vaccine Program and Registration Paper, which involves various medical and scientific societies.
This week's unintended on the road is reducing Modern's weekly delivery to all EU countries. Accordingly, the corresponding shipment will be about 200.000 doses, just over half of the originally planned, although the company will compensate for this delay in March.

And todays figures show 1 recovery and no new cases so 16 active cases

Sorry that was for yesterday todays´(Thursday) is 2 recoveries no new so down to 14 active cases but there is a chance of an increase in cases!

Vaccination update

 For those not on Facebook this is the latest regarding vaccinations;

Persons over 80 years of age are being cited by the Andalusian Health Service for the administration of vaccine by order of older to younger age.
Currently, the vaccination pattern has been completed in a total of 191.021 people who have already been administered both, of which 15.617 are from Almeria; 26.952, from Cadiz; 20.980, from Cordoba; 24.357, Granada; 12.252, Huelva; 18.263, Jaén; 34.352, Malaga and 38.348, Sevilla.

Andalucia continues to advance its Covid-19 vaccination plan and since last Thursday the coronavirus vaccine began to be administered to people over the age of 80 who had not been previously vaccinated and could move to the vaccination centers in eight provinces. This new vaccination group gets Pfizer doses.
This group, who are in group 5 within the program, is being summoned by telephone by order of age (older to younger) by the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) to schedule the first dose at the vaccination point that it's up to you. First, the SAS is calling those over 93 years old. Always ensure that these people stay in the selected compound for at least 15 minutes to observe possible effects of the vaccine.
The other vaccination group that continues to receive the first dose is that made up of home relief workers caring for large dependents, including within the 4. group. They will be given AstraZeneca vaccine if they are under 55 years old. If they are over 55 or suffer severe pathologies, they will be given Pfizer's.

The incidence rate of Zurgena is once again less than 1000, since last 01/29/2021 that because we exceeded it then shops and non-essential establishments in the municipality had to be closed.

We are reducing the number of cases ... we are on the right track! If we continue with this trend very soon all shops and establishments will be able to reopen their doors.

Let's make an effort!

Juanma Moreno has revealed that «this week there will be a meeting with the committee of experts to assess whether in those municipalities in which the incidence is progressively lower for 10 days, that is, the reduction of cases is sustained, they can move to a better phase . For example, "if a municipality has closed non-essential activity, it could open it," she clarified.

The Andalusian president has also specified that "from now on there will only be a weekly assessment of the provincial alert committees - currently there are two, Monday and Thursday -" to determine if there is relaxation or tightening of the measures.

Replacement Football Field Perimeter Net

For you footie fans,

The next action that we will be carrying out will be to change the football field perimeter net. We will get rid  of the existing one which is in poor condition and replace with a new one of greater thickness and higher to  improve the protection of the countryside and area around.

Vaccination Programme and todays figures

Our Covid figures for Zurgena today show 1 new infection but 5 recoveries.

Following a request from one of our residents I asked the people managing the official Covid 19 Almeria Facebook page if they could give up to date information on the roll out of the vaccination programme and they have agreed to do so where they can get the figures but to start  with they provided this information.

After starting last December 27 with residents in socio-health centers and their workers, as well as frontline health personnel, plus all the senior officials who have skipped their shift, Health is already preparing the next phase of the campaign vaccination, for which age will be the factor determining target groups to immunize.

After completion of this first group, planned until March and where hospital healthcare and non-frontline primary care also enter, dentistry, dental hygiene staff and others who care for patients without a mask for more than 15 Minutes and large non-institutionalized dependants, the second target group will be those over 80 years old who do not live in residences and will be followed by those over 70, who will be cited by their health centers.
After the ages of 80, it will be the turn of the group between 70 and 79 years; in both, it is already about people who do not live in residences and who will be nominally cited by their health centers so as not to waste not a single injection.
It remains to be seen how it will be done with the groups that lack public insurance and those belonging to mutual funded directly - MUFACE, MUGEJU and ISFAS - which are in the process of negotiating with the Ministry, albeit sources consulted claim they will not be discriminated against negatively and will be contemporarily vaccinated to the rest.
In the coming weeks, the presentation will also have to be profiling the other groups based on their previous pathologies or the level of exposure to the virus they have in their work. A view they share from the Spanish Association of Vacunology (AEV): its vice president, Fernando Moraga-Llop, is of the opinion that ′′ after 80 years the ages should be lowered to 65 years, then continue by groups with diseases chronicles such as diabetes, epoc, cardiopathies...". And after the chronicles, people institutionalized or at risk of social exclusion, i.e. groups of poor socioeconomic conditions, followed by essential staff of all kinds.
′′ Then you could make a 55-to-64 year-old group and leave for the end to those who have had covid except if they are high-risk, which is what happens now at the residences ", says the expert, who in any case advocates a ′′ uniform approach nationwide ".
Moraga-Llop shares that ′′ the important thing is to cite with primary care; it is obvious that it will not be possible in all the centers, and if at any given time it is convenient to take hand from the private, military, senior medical students, all coordinated from public health, also because it is a public health vaccine and it is for all people and free ".
