I have to recommend Jose Manuel´s relative for many required garden work.
I had him to deal with my Palm trees that has signs of the Palm Weevil and he managed to treat it in time to save the tree.
He is short of work due to the Covid situation so if anyone needs a reliable gardener he is Juan Cunao his number is 634 36 38 69 and his wife who is English is on 634327232.
Today Ian Hurley acting on behalf of Rita and Alan Peach made a donation of €700, on behalf of their family, following their deaths during the past couple of years.
Below is a letter on behalf of Rita and Alan and a photo of Ian with the Headmaster of Zurgena School and the deputy head. They were delighted to receive this donation and in fact following discussions with the Headmaster I agreed to put a request on here for any donations that any of you would like to make for the benefit of the school. As some of you know there are no Parent Teachers associations in Spain and the schools are miserably funded. The school would benefit hugely from any donations so I agreed to put a plea on my blog.
Any donations can be made in cash to the Town Hall for the attention of Jose Manuel and should be accompanied by the givers name and NIE. The reason the request is for cash, is because, believe it or not, the junta adjust the amounts they give the schools based on what they have in the bank. So it is important for the school to be able to make the deposits at times that accord their best benefit.
I understand there are rumours abounding about more Covid positive cases in Zurgena. I have checked and there is one possible being tested but that is all. No further confirmed cases!
It does not help, when people spread false rumours, as, when there is a need to elevate the publics´ response people can become less responsive.
The Town Hall will keep all of our residents informed of any and all facts relative to the pandemic as and when such information is available.
