Election Letter

Many of you have received letters from the Electoral Commission like the one below and people are unsure of what it means.
Basically it is where the electoral commission  are informing you that there are no changes to the list and that you will be able to vote.

Just an update on the next trip which we are trying to organise to Ubeda.

Water Problems Los Llanos del Peral

As many of you who are residents of Llanos del Peral are aware they have started the work to upgrade the water infrastructure in the area.

There have already been a number of interruptions to the water supply and I enquired as to why they did not give us advance notice of these interruptions. However the reason they cannot is that they are digging new trenches and do not know if they will accidentally cut the existing pipes as the old plans are very poor. They will take about another 2 weeks to complete this part of the works.

So it is a case of apologies for these annoying interruptions from the contracted company.

Suggestions

Many thanks to those of you who took the time to submit your suggestions/ideas etc for us to consider prior to compiling our manifesto.

I am now in the process of doing a report in which all your points will be mentioned. Some are already agreed and will be completed this year whether we win or lose the election. Others I have recommended for inclusion or discussion. I will present this to Luis tomorrow and it will be considered by our party over the next couple of weeks. Thanks again.

Suggestions Letter

We (John Chrissy and I) have managed to circulate the letter asking for suggestions for inclusion in our manifesto to most parts of the municipality but we are running out of time to distribute any further.

The areas we have not dropped them off at are parts of Palaces and parts of Los Menchones. So if you live in either of those areas or have not received the letter I have copied it below and ask that you give it some consideration. As stated any suggestions received before 7th March will be considered.

¨The current administration in the Town Hall are considering their priorities for inclusion in the manifesto and programme for the next 4 years, should they gain sufficient seats in the next administration (Local election date 26th May 2019). We currently have 7 out of the 11 councillors and therefore have a majority at the moment.

In order for us to consider any issues you consider are important we would like your input and this is your opportunity to do so.

This survey is available for all residents in the municipality and we urge you to give it some thoughtful consideration. The results will be analysed and any  projects or ideas which are accepted will be incorporated either into the manifesto or the programme for the years 2019 to 2023. Our previous manifesto has been 90% completed!

The following is a non exhaustive list of headings under which you may wish to make a suggestion;

Infrastructure and Urbanisation, Social Welfare, Public Safety, Administration and Town Hall (this includes the support to the english speaking population eg help desk, translator), Public Health (We have approved a new Health Centre in accordance with the last manifesto), Business and Tourism, Agriculture and Environment and Sports, Culture and Leisure

So please if you have any ideas that you would like our party to consider for inclusion in the next manifesto jot them down on the reverse of this form and return to the Town Hall (there is a box for completed suggestion on the front desk in the Town Hall) or you can email me on the usual email at jimszurgena@gmail.com Please add your name and address to ensure that you are a Zurgena resident.

I can assure you that all suggestions will be considered by the party prior to completion of our manifesto

Date for last consideration 7th March.¨
