A Little More on the Vaccine Programme

 These will be the next social groups to be vaccinated:

- Over 80 years.
- State Security Corps and Forces including Autonomous and Local Police.
- Emergency, firefighters or civil protection personnel.
- Armed Forces.
- Teachers of Children, Primary, High School and Special Education.
- Pharmaceuticals.
- Physiotherapists.
- Forensics.
- Occupational therapists.
- Home relief services.
- Children's centers staff and day centers.
- Workers of Penitentiary Institutions.
Those over 80 will receive Pfizer's vaccine, while the rest of these collectives will receive AstraZeneca's vaccine as long as their age is less than 55 years old.

  1. Did you manage to find out about how those of us that are paying into private healthcare and not on the Spanish health system will be vaccinated ( if we pay for "the medicine") and are over 60 years, thank you jim

  3. It would be interesting to know how many people have been vaccinated in the municipality of Zurgena and the surrounding municipalities. re those figures available?

  4. Regarding the vaccination programme. I am led to understand that the authorities will be using the data from the National Health Service which if it is the case then those on Private Medical Insurance would need to contact their providers as their details would not be held by the Health System. There is also the option to get onto the Health Service by agreeing a Convenio with the authorities which I believe costs around €60 per month and a Gestor or Lawyer could assist in obtaining this.
    Regarding individual municipality figures I do not think this is available yet as I cannot find it.

    1. Thanks Jim for the information. Unfortunately yes as far as we understand it, 60 euros per month for under 65, but for 65 and over 157 per month, total 217 euros. Our private health care is currently 180 euros which is cheaper, but appreciate the information.
