Increased Restrictions

The Territorial Committee for High Impact Public Health Alerts of Almería met yesterday to analyse the epidemiological data on the incidence of Covid-19 in the province.

Thus, the authorities have decided that Zurgena passes alert level 4 in grade 2, so we will continue with the perimeter closure and will also have to close all bars and shops that are not considered essential.

These measures will be in force from Monday, February 1.

  2. Hi Jim, do understand how serious things are at the moment. But what is becoming more evident is the 2 local mini markets trying to cope with 5 villages within the zurgena boundary using them, very limited stocks irrespective of time of day that you visit, struggling to cope. This includes fresh milk and vegetables, and local shops charge. Yes there is a Friday market but that too is now limited. Can the town hall consider insuring a pass to allow a supermarket only shop once a fortnight, or a fruit and vegetable van to visit the villages selling carrots mushrooms peppers etc just an idea thank you. I also heard the fines are now 600 euros without a justifiable reason.
