Improvement of buildings and public spaces thanks to the three contracts of the City Council through the ‘Air Plan’
Three unemployed neighbours have been recruited to carry out maintenance and improvement of our Town Hall facilities. They are the individuals shown in the picture (to the left of our Councillor Noelia)
Last October, through the project of the Initiative for the Activation, Promotion and Recovery of Employment (AIRE) which started to be developed in the municipality of Zurgena. This was intended to reactivate employment and alleviate the effects of the health crisis, to the largest extent possible. The Ministry of Employment, Training and Autonomous Work of the Junta de Andalucía, with funding from the European Social Fund and the Operational Program for Youth Employment, has allocated 32,560 euros to the Zurgena AIRE initiative. The collaboration of the Zurgena City Council with the ‘Plan AIRE’ has made it possible for us to hire 3 unemployed people from the municipality.
The people hired, thanks to this plan to boost employment, will carry out various maintenance and improvement tasks of public spaces and buildings within the municipality. In addition, they are currently working on the enhancement of facilities and premises. Their jobs will last for 8 and 6 months, depending on the age group.
Each of the contracts belongs to one of the groups specified in the grant, such as "Young people under 30, registered in the SGJ"; the 30 to 44 age group and the +45 age group who are also long-term unemployed ”.
