Recognition of Good Service

Yesterday we held an extraordinary Pleno session part of which was to honour the Police Officers who have served so diligently during the pandemic.

PUBLIC CONGRATULATIONS. Highlight that this agent is a guide to the Cynological Unit of the municipality of Vera. It has been required several times in a selfless manner and in particular moments by the Zurgena Local Police for search of vehicles suspected of carrying toxic substances, drugs and psychotherapies.

Since September 2020 he (Jose Antonio Aliaga Molina) has been responsible for leading this effort. It was highlighted that he has performed numerous performances that are distinguished by his competence and activity in the performance of professional duties, performing a service of professional and social importance that adds to the prestige of the Corps. And therefore, alongside the recognition of a PUBLIC CONGRATULATION, you are awarded a MEDAL OF THE ZURGENA MUNICIPLE FOR YOUR POLICE WORK.

I added my congratulations to Jose for the many occasions he has assisted members of the English speaking community over the past years.

Covid Good News and Consolidation Update

Great news on Covid no active cases at all in Zurgena!

I have had a few people ask about the situation with regards to the consolidation exercise and what is happening. 

As is the norm in Spain Bureaucracy rules!

We are going through all the required legal processes and recently we moved to the stage of recruiting and contracting  the people who we need for the next stage of the process. I appreciate it is slow but we have to go through the process by adhering to the laws and norms laid down. 

Rest assured we are moving forward as best we can. We cannot commit to timescales due to so many unknowns but we are working as hard as we can.

Trip To Balneario de Archena

The Junta have an organised Trip to the Balneario de Archena on the14th October.

Covid Today & Grants for Businesses

 We have a total of 7 active cases in the municipality as of yesterday. 

Today the basis for the award of DIRECT AID to Zurgena companies affected by Covid-19 have been published.

✅Budget available: € 26,000‼ 

✅Object: The aid is aimed at self-employed or self-employed workers (businesses, self-employed and street vendors) and small and medium-sized companies, located in the municipality of Zurgena, whose business activity has been affected by the declaration of the state of alarm .

⏰Date for submission: 30 calendar days counted from the following publication in the electronic office.

Financial Aid

Council Tax (IBI)

This years IBI bills as usual will become due for payment prior to 2nd week in November.

If anyone is unable to get to the Town Hall to get their bill just drop me a message and I will arrange for it to be sent to you.

We have details of a tournament in our municipality with prize money and other prizes to be held 2nd October from 0900 at La Campsa.
